Catching the Summer Breeze
Summer of 2022 has quickly arrived, and with life finally getting back to normal after a trying couple of years, this is going to be a summer to remember for all. As we kick off the summer season here at Catch the Breeze Retreats, we are excited to see that the sun is here to stay and shine on the new-found projects and announcements we have for our guests.
New Properties – building our portfolio
As you may have already read in our yearly review: ‘Catching the 2022 Breeze‘, we discussed our plans to grow our unique property portfolio and we are delighted to announce that we have now purchased two new properties in the postcard-pretty village of Craster in Alnwick, Northumberland.
Our beautiful new properties, classic fisherman’s cottage Driftwood and seaside haven Harbourway, are just a stone’s throw away from charming Craster Harbour and other popular amenities such as the Jolly Fisherman and Dunstanburgh Castle. Both boast incredible views, and as they are 19th-century fisherman cottages, have a nostalgic air about them.
As with any new project, the Catch the Breeze Retreats team are busy ensuring the two properties are up to par with what we are known for, luxurious properties that truly feel like a home away from home. Both new properties will be sensitively modernised with luxurious facilities to ensure you and your party have a wonderful experience.
We are thrilled to welcome these two new properties to our portfolio, and if you are as excited as we are, please contact us to find out more information on when you can book your next dream staycation.
We Are Now Dog-Friendly!
Here at Catch the Breeze Retreats, we pride ourselves on offering UK getaways that are unforgettable for the whole party. Whether you are a happy couple looking for a romantic staycation, or a bouncing family with children, our properties always have facilities and nearby amenities suitable for anyone and everyone.
We always want to ensure that we create your perfect holiday experience, so we always take great care with the details; it truly is the small things that make the biggest difference to our holidays.
Although it is lovely to get away with loved ones, sometimes a holiday is just not complete without our furry companions. And that is why we are so happy to notify you, as our esteemed guests, that from November 1st for Craster Reach and 1st January 2023 for Tan Llan & The Coach House, we will be permitting our guests to bring one dog with them to the respective properties.
As dog-lovers, we are over the moon to be able to invite your lovely pets to Craster Reach and Tan Llan & The Coach House. More of our properties will soon follow suit and also offer this amazing new dog-friendly feature. But in the meantime, both Craster Reach and Tan Llan & The Coach House are the ideal properties for becoming home for you and your furry friend, for however long that may be. Both properties have beautiful, expansive landscapes suitable for dogs to run around and frolic; whether you prefer the seaside or the countryside, we are sure your furry friend will have just as great of a time as you and your party.
The only things we ask are that only one dog comes to stay and that he or she must be at least one year’s old.
Tughall Mill Update
Also in our 2022 review: ‘Catching the 2022 Breeze‘, we teased you with news of our newly acquired Beadnell, Northumberland property, Tughall Mill. Well, since that announcement we have begun to dot the i’s and cross the t’s with the site designs, so we are now looking forward to commencing this wonderful project in the autumn of this year.
The site of Tughall Mill is a spectacular one; it holds a great deal of noble history, having greeted the likes of kings and saints over the years. Therefore, it is integral that in any renovation we honour this so as not to disturb the deep-rooted antiquity the property holds within its walls and grounds. We will modernise the property sensitively whilst also creating a luxurious holiday retreat that will feel like a second home to all those who visit.
We will all be working on Tughall Mill over the next 18 months, so keep your eyes peeled during 2023 for the grand opening of this marvellously unique staycation retreat.
