Great Holiday

We enjoyed our family time together at the lovely Oughtershaw Hall. There was always plenty to do, from water volleyball in the stunning pool, walking round the gardens, playing games in the cellar, sitting by the fire chatting, barbecuing, playing board games, sweating it out in the sauna, watching the wild life in the garden, playing football, gathering round for family meals and a wonderful place to have a treasure hunt! The facilities were super, luxuriously warm everything so well stocked. We enjoyed some scenic walks (one in the rain and some in the dry) and it was always lovely to return to the welcoming Hall with only the sheep to disturb if we were laughing too loudly! Ben was very helpful, respectful and unobtrusive. We have all come home with some marvellous family memories.

A wonderful property, packed with facilities and huge amounts of space to spread out in. Lovely walks on the doorstep, indoor pool and sauna, bluetooth enabled sound systems, amazing views and plenty of outdoor spaces.

Exceptional property in a wonderful location.

Middlerigg is beautifully decorated and furnished and very well equipped. There is lots of space and everything you could need for a thoroughly enjoyable holiday - even the local pub, which does great food, only a few steps away. We appreciated the generous Welcome Pack too. Waking up each morning to the view over the bay to Dunstanburgh Castle was a real delight and on warmer days eating out on the terrace was wonderful.

The parking space is adequate for two cars (we had one large car and one smaller hatchback) but would be tight for two larger vehicles. Overall a brilliant property where we had a lovely holiday.

A stunning house in a stunning location

This is a remarkably well equipped home, immaculate condition and spotlessly clean. The views were superb, and we loved the sound of the waves and waking up to such an incredible view. We've never actually baked on holiday before, but we whipped up a pavlova from scratch - the kitchen equipment is something else! Thank you so much for making our holiday so perfect.

An amazing family holiday - thank you!

Our stay at Rock Lobster was the best family holiday we have ever had.

The house was immaculately clean and exceptionally well equipped in every possible respect; small details like generous amount of crockery, cutlery and towels made life easier and more comfortable. The quality of the furnishings made this fabulous beach house feel far more like a home from home than just a holiday let.

The huge garden, overlooking the beautiful Northumbrian coast, was a tremendous bonus for our children to play in and for us all to enjoy meals on the patio, watching the dolphins.

The games room was also a real bonus feature: our little ones loved playing table tennis and table football - there was barely any screen time all week!

One very minor maintenance issue was resolved within hours and with zero fuss or inconvenience to ourselves, and the communication arena this issue was exemplary.
