Mill Farmhouse is perfect for anyone wanting a touch of luxury in beautiful Northumberland

We were really looking forward to staying in this very new property and we were not disappointed. The house, the comfort, the quality of the furniture, the views.......!!. did not disappoint and the photos do not do it justice.

It's hard to explain how a property can be both spacious and cosy at the same time but Mill Farmhouse really is. With 3 separate lounge areas there is room for everyone to "do their own thing" yet still feel involved in all that is going on. The kitchen is fabulous for both cooking and socialising.

All bedrooms and en-suites are spacious and comfortable and no one feels they "got the short straw" everyone is different with unique features.

The circular staircase is quite steep and anyone with significant mobility problems may struggle and would need to take extra care.
It's worth noting that the footpath to the beach is across a field, but once on the beach the walk to Beadnell is hard to beat on any day!

This is our fourth stay in Northumberland with Catch the Breeze and this is by far the best property so far - mainly owing to how spacious it is, but also because of the quality of furnishings CTB are known for.

Staff are all wonderful and a special mention to Claire, Guest Relations & Property Co-ordinator for her exceptional service.

A Beautiful Historical home to enjoy with your family in a stunning surroundings

This was our first time at Oughtershaw Hall and we had an amazing time. The home is absolutely stunning with spacious rooms to accommodate everyone. It's a grand space with a cozy atmosphere.

The team that look after the property are friendly and helpful. The house has amazing grounds which can be enjoyed all year round. If your looking for some where special to make happy memories Oughtershaw will not disappoint!

Getaway with friends

We often visit the North East especially Craster. Catch the Breeze are reliably of very good quality and Tara gives us the personal touch. Local walks are varied and plentiful when you look for them.

We recommend the Jolly Fisherman in the village for the food or a drink. Good atmosphere.

The Italian in Alnwick is excellent (di Sopra).

The weather was largely good.

Special occasions in a beautiful area

The Reading Rooms are typically well appointed and equipped as expected from Catch the Breeze. Loved being beckside. Ben is the local agent and is a great bloke.

Birthday and anniversary celebrations in the wonderful Yorkshire Dales. Drive up over the moor to Hawes. 
Weather limited walking with some flooding in fields and the odd road. Hardraw Force dramatic at the moment. 
Stone House Hotel, White Hart, Green Dragon and George Inn all good eating. Gayle Mill (Thursdays) worth a visit. Would love to return in drier weather and venture further.

A perfect stay

We had the perfect stay, the property was exceptionally well equipped and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The views from the bedroom windows were breathtaking and we enjoyed watching the sunsets each night. The early morning were so tranquil and the front garden/terrace was perfect for a morning cuppa and catching the early sunshine. The washer/dryer was also a godsend after a long day at the beach. We're already planning when we can next return!
