Properties

A personal portfolio of holiday properties owned and managed by us – the Sykes family – our exclusive collection has been carefully curated and refined over the last 15 years.

Our properties have been handpicked based on several standout factors, such as stunning locations, amazing views, and beautiful, quirky buildings. We’ve called upon decades of experience to restore, modernise and furnish each property with integrity and sympathetic materials. Every property embraces an appreciation of the landscape, history and community that surrounds it.

What our guests say

A lovely property for an Autumn break

A well appointed property in an excellent location, with coastal walks from the door and a very nice pub serving good food within a couple of hundred yards.

A larger cafetière or perhaps a second one would be useful but other than that we had all that we needed for a lovely Autumn break.

Apart from the coast, visits to Alnwick and Morpeth were very much enjoyed.

A relaxed long weekend with a group of friends staying in an exceptional property

Our first stay at Oughtershaw Hall was a truly wonderful experience. The Hall is set in beautiful, tranquil surroundings with views of the river from the back of the house and walks on the doorstep. Each room has its own character with working fireplaces creating a warm, comfortable atmosphere. An added bonus is the heated swimming pool and sauna. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could possibly need to create a dinner party. The manager, Ben, couldn't be more friendly and helpful and he only lives 5 minutes away if anything should arise. We couldn't fault our visit here - we'll be back!!

Excellent stay at craster

This is our second visit to a catch the breeze property and we could recommend it highly enough Everything is excellent and we will be back soon

Mr Smith

Stunning!

Our stay in Middlerigg was splendid. Stunning position and magnificently refurbished and very well equipped.

Mrs Branston

Another great accommodation from Catch the Breeze

A week away in our go-to county. We love Craster. Ideal for us to celebrate a birthday.

Having experienced this company before we were confident that the house would be great. There was an initial problem with getting warm which was addressed remotely.

We look forward to staying in more of Catch the Breeze properties in 2024 with friends.

We enjoyed eating at The Jolly Fisherman twice and The Potted Lobster in Bamburgh.
