What our guests say

Perfect family stay

We stayed as a multi generational family and all agreed that Harbour Way is the best holiday rental we’ve stayed in together. The house is beautiful with everything we could ever need and in a great position. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise. Thank you.

Another amazing stay

Stayed for a long weekend with family. Our 3rd booking with Catch the Breeze. The position overlooking the sea is unrivaled with large kitchen/living/dining area where the family could come together to eat, drink and socialise.

The bedrooms are all pretty much the same so no fighting over who has the best. The downstairs bathroom is separate to one of the bedrooms but gorgeous and next door. The upstairs living room is the highlight.

Gorgeous comfy sofas with bifold doors that open onto the balcony overlooking the sea. We had a fantastic weekend celebrating my husbands birthday with all our children and have already booked to come back in October with friends. Highly recommend.

This is a gorgeous house, tastefully furnished, and very spacious.

We were a multi generational family and there was more than enough room for us all to do our own thing. The real bonus was the location. Surrounded by National Trust land managed as a nature reserve. We were greeted by a hare on the lawn and he and his family visited every morning. We watched a barn owl hunting each evening and so many other birds attracted by the stream next to the house. The fabulous Beadnell bay and beach a gentle walk across the field.

Cosy, comfortable cottage

Having stayed in a few cottages in Craster, Driftwood was by far the best. It was warm and cosy throughout and decorated to a high standard. The window seat in the lounge area was a delight for gazing across the harbour and out to sea. Fantastic woodburner, for relaxing nights in. Very comfortable beds and amazing ensuite shower room. Also, one of the biggest baths we have ever seen in the second bathroom.

Facilities wise, there was everything you could possibly need. Lovely welcome pack on arrival and a 'check in' from a member of the Catch The Breeze team, after we had settled in, to see if all was ok. We had also been contacted to say the cottage was ready for our arrival, ahead of the allotted time. These i thought, were a nice touch.

All in all, a delightful cottage managed by a company whose customer service is second to none. We will return.....

Loved our stay

Middlerigg is a beautiful house in an amazing setting.

The house was lovely and clean and very well equipped. It’s so well designed making the most of the views across the harbour to Dunstanburgh Castle.

I like that there’s a floor plan on the website, it really helps when choosing a property.

Communication with Claire before our stay was easy and informative, and she called in to ensure all was well shortly after we arrived.

Would definitely look to book with Catch The Breeze again and hope to return to Middlerigg in the future.
