What our guests say

Beautiful

We had a wonderful stay at Oughtershaw. Everything is superb. And as if it couldn’t get better….then there was gorgeous Ben who couldn’t be more helpful 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

Pretty close to perfect

We visited on a November weekend where we had a storm on one day and perfect blue skies on another. The house was superb. We had everything we needed, and more. Its great having the upstairs lounge with balcony - especially when you can watch 3-4m waves. Having nothing in front of you, or at the sides just adds to that. Overall the house was well sound proofed, warm and nicely decorated for Christmas. The fake wood burner added a lovely touch, without the hassle!

The games room was a real bonus, and I imagine the garden (perfect grass in Nov) must be fab in the summer. The proximity to the great pub and the kippers was appreciated.

Clare and the Catch the Breeze Team were lovely to deal with, we hope to find the opportunity to book with them again.

A welcome return visit to Middlerigg

We have stayed at Middlerigg a few times now and it never disappoints. The house is beautiful and its harbour side location is stunning. The house is comfortable and homely and very well equipped. The beds are really comfortable with quality linens and there are soft fluffy towels in the spotless, modern en suites. Middlerigg is ideally placed to enjoy views of the harbour and Dunstanburgh Castle. The nearby Jolly Fisherman is excellent for both lunch and dinner. The house is an ideal holiday base for walkers or just to relax and enjoy the ever changing view of the coastline - the view from the mezzanine is amazing. The team at Catch the Breeze are lovely, really helpful and nothing seems too much trouble to them. I would wholeheartedly recommend a holiday in this beautiful home.

Exceptional property in an outstanding location

We were absolutely delighted with this property.

Furnished to a very high standard and extremely comfortable. It is very spacious and allowed everyone to have their own space.

Its location is superb offering exceptional sea views.

There is so much to.do locally from visiting castles to long walks along the coast.

We cant wait to return
