Amazing property with breathtaking views across the sea

This was a return visit to Rock Lobster for our family. The property is wonderful, a very peaceful location in Craster and breathtaking sea views. The kitchen and house generally is very well equipped, high standards of cleanliness and very cosy.

The upstairs sitting area is so incredible to relax in, with views across the sea and a covered verandah to sit on whilst enjoying a holiday drink.

Our party comprised adults and children and the property was suitable for both. The spacious garden was great to play in as was the games room with table football and table tennis.

Craster is an unspoilt area to stay with walks to the harbour and across the coastline to Dunstanburgh Castle. It has a wonderful pub and cafes for meals or snacks. And the other resorts along the coastline are within easy reach.

We have holidayed a number of times with Catch the Breeze and have always found them to be very helpful and approachable.

The most wonderful birthday celebration!

We have just returned from the most fabulous week spent at Middlerigg whilst celebrating a special birthday with loved-ones. From the moment we set foot inside this outstanding property, we felt instantly at home. Nestled in the centre of Craster, Middlerigg provides stunning views of the harbour towards Dunstanburgh Castle and every care has been taken to ensure a most comfortable and enjoyable holiday. The rooms are beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, spacious and light, and there are views from every single window. We loved the kitchen area leading onto the patio, and the upstairs sitting area was an absolute joy - watching the weather over the harbour became an enjoyable daily routine! The house is really well equipped with everything you could possibly need, with high quality fittings, comfortable beds & sofas, plenty of hot water & even logs for the fire which made for cosy evenings when the sun had gone down. The location is perfect, with easy accessibility to all the local amenities and many places of interest in the surrounding area - with amazing walks from the door, and even a wonderful pub just a few steps away! Clare was so helpful and kind and we wouldn't hesitate in booking with 'Catch The Breeze' again. The week will linger long in our memories and we hope to return in the very near future.

Fabulous house

We had an amazing stay at Rock Lobster. The house was comfortable and clean and the views were fantastic. We saw dolphins nearly every day. The house is in a great location for exploring the coastline with walks on the doorstep. I can't wait to stay here again. It's just perfect.

I never wanted to leave....

I almost want to keep this house a secret so that we can get to visit again... however it deserves a shining review

The location is fantastic, the views over the sea provided sunrises and sunsets we will never forget. Sitting out on the balcony on a morning was just the dream, we were exceptionally lucky with sunny weather every day.

The house is gorgeous, the best equipped house we have ever stayed in and beautifully styled to a very high standard, bathrooms were excellent, constant hot water for 8 people is also to be commended!

The most comfortable beds, the Welsh blankets are such a lovely touch, all our guests commented on them.

The games room in the garage was a lovely surprise and the grandchildren (and adults) loved it.

The fact that the house is a stones throw from one of the best gastro pubs ever is just the icing on the cake, we went many times and have been before in Summer when it's outside area is open, which is also lovely, they've achieved that rare pub balance of being very welcoming for drinkers as well as diners.

Rock Lobster we will be back!

A home from home

Driftwood does not feel like a holiday cottage. It's more like a home way from home and has everything you could possibly need for your stay.

It's always welcoming on arrival and hard to leave. Everyone at catch the breeze is warm and professional and easy to deal with. 

Catch the breeze is now my default choice when I want a break.
