What our guests say

Fabulous house

We had an amazing stay at Rock Lobster. The house was comfortable and clean and the views were fantastic. We saw dolphins nearly every day. The house is in a great location for exploring the coastline with walks on the doorstep. I can't wait to stay here again. It's just perfect.

Mr Higgins

Just perfect

In over 40 years of self catering holidays I have never stayed in a better property than this. Fixtures and fittings are of the highest quality and so much thought has gone into providing anything you might possibly need for your holiday. The location, overlooking the harbour, is the best in the village. Recommended unreservedly. One cautionary note - parking two cars in the available space is a challenge.

Friends stay in Craster Reach

Lovely house in great location for exploring the area, with lovely coastal walks straight from the house, and we also enjoyed Bamburgh, Alnwick and Lindesfarne. Really well thought out layout to maximise the space, with plenty of room for 6 adults. Showers were really powerful and beds were really comfortable, kitchen was well equipped, and the welcome pack was a lovely additional touch. The weather wasn't the kindest so we enjoyed using the fire too. Would recommend the Jolly Fisherman for dinner, or just a drink after a walk - friendly staff and lovely food, although would suggest you book if wanting to eat at peak times.

The cottage was just lovely as is always the case with Catch the Breeze properties. Well-equipped and a walkers dream. Felt like home from home and a perfect location for a true Dales experience!

Mrs Jones

Fantastic in every way!

Wonderful location overlooking the harbour but extremely private and quiet. The house is beautifully furnished, extremely comfortable and was spotlessly clean. The kitchen is the best we've ever seen and everything you may need has been thoughtfully provided, even treats and toys for our 2 little dogs. Absolutely wonderful beaches nearby and loads on interesting places to visit. Our favourites were Cragside and Lindisfarne. The local pub, The Jolly Fisherman, may seem expensive but the food is really good. I'd go in the evening when it is less busy. The wood fired pizzas at Embers up the road are also well worth trying. The walk to Dunstanburgh Castle has to be one of the best in the country. Northumberland is a brilliant place to visit and you'd be hard pushed to find better, more luxurious accommodation than Harbourway.
