What our guests say

Old friends get together

A party of 10 old friends (5 couples) meet up together every year from different parts of the country. We chose The Old Watermill and we were not disappointed. The property was of exceptional quality and the customer service from Catch the Breeze was first class. Our special thanks to Clare who met us at the property and showed us around prior to our get together. We were so impressed we added an additional 3 nights to our original 4 nights stay. The property was tastefully decorated and to a very high standard. The kitchen areawas exceptionally well equipped and of good quality.

The setting of the property was beautiful along side a stream (The Nanny) amazing natural environment and lovely views. Lovely to sit and watch the various wildlife coming close to the house. Bedrooms were extremely comfortable and once again the bedding etc were of the highest quality.

Lounge areas were great for relaxation and very well laid out. All in all a fantastic place to stay. We would have no hesitation to recommend The Old Watermill to anyone thinking about staying there.

Fabulous Winter Break

We had an amazing 4 days at Rock Lobster which was in a fabulous location. The views of the shoreline and the sea from the kitchen room and the upstairs lounge were spectacular. Despite lots of rain and snow, we were totally warm and snug throughout the stay.

Another excellent visit

This is our umpteenth visit to Oughtershaw Hall and, again, we were not disappointed. This time our pre-Christmas No Tinsel week was as good as ever. Such a comfortable place to stay.

The walk along the Beck is a little different at this time of year, varying from a mere trickle to a flow resembling the Orinoco - just had to play Enya when we got back into the warmth of the Hall.

Our plans for next year are already coming to fruition.

Thank you for such lovely accommodation in a truly wonderful part of the country.

Beautiful

We had a wonderful stay at Oughtershaw. Everything is superb. And as if it couldn’t get better….then there was gorgeous Ben who couldn’t be more helpful 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

A perfect break for all the generations

The wild life we enjoyed seeing from the Mill varied and interesting. Immaculately clean, well stocked and a wonderful welcome pack. We have stayed there last year and the very high standard has been maintained, and we are looking forward to return in June.
