What our guests say

Beautiful cottage, great location

We loved our stay in this beautiful cottage. Perfectly situated to explore the beautiful Northumberland coastline. The cottage is very comfortable, fully equipped and furnished to a very high standard.

A brilliant venue and excellent customer service

We recently stayed at the old watermill in Chathill near Beadnell. The property was immaculate, beautifully decorated and the facilities were excellent. The personal service from Clare was above and beyond - we couldn't have asked for more.

A Truly Wonderful Stay at The Reading Rooms - We'll be back!

We had the most fantastic stay at The Reading Rooms in this peaceful and picturesque spot in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. We enjoyed walks right from our doorstep and ventured out to The Wensleydale Creamery and Hardraw Force enjoying a superb pub lunch at The Green Dragon Inn.

The cottage itself felt like a real home from home - such a perfect place to unwind and relax! It is beautifully equipped with everything you could possibly need - we even managed to do some baking during our stay! We loved the TV/snug room which gave the children their own space to hang out.

The bedrooms were incredibly comfortable, with fresh high-quality linens. We all slept so well here! Outside the garden is simply lovely - it borders a charming beck and is a glorious peaceful space to sit. We were lucky with the weather so managed to enjoy some outdoor dining and we loved sitting outside with our morning coffee. It is clear that a lot of care has gone into making this a truly special place to stay and we can't wait to come back!

Probably best cottage in Craster

Craster location on the Northumberland coast is ideal for getting to know the area. Harbourway has a brilliant location in the village with views of the Harbour. Just set back far enough from the road so passers by cannot disturb you, the village is so quiet at night you can hear the sea.

The property was a wonderful flow to it, with an extremely well thought out interior. The beds are as comfy as home with good linens and pillows too. The cosy wood burner in the living area is addictive, giving that extra ambiance. Even the ornaments and art work in the property are desirable. The kitchen is well equipped and the ice maker I will miss (I never knew I wanted one).

It will be hard to find another property as all round great as this. If you want luxury, for you and your friends, this is your place.

Probably the best rental house in Craster

This cottage benefits from its central Craster location. Bedroom views of the Castle and harbour, walking distance of excellent friendly food serving pub with sea views. The smokery nearby also sells essentials like bread, milk etc, parking for 2 large vehicles.

Central in a stretch of outstanding coastline preserved by the National Trust.

The open plan living space downstairs with wood burning stove (wood etc included), entertainment system which is easy to navigate, well stocked kitchen with dishwasher etc makes it easy to entertain family and friends at the cottage.

The beds are sooo comfy, with quality linens and large fluffy towels make it just that more Luxe cottage experience. The showers have great water pressure, with endless hot water - just the thing when you've been caught out by the weather!

The thoughtful welcome package for both humans and dog - take the pressure off if you've forgotten an essential, and give you the opportunity to taste the local produce.

The cleanliness of the place is to be commended. Rarely have I visited a place as clean! A secure backyard gives pet owners peace of mind, and opportunity to share the outside space with their dog. Also a hose to wash your dog and boots off! All very well thought out.
