What our guests say

A Truly Wonderful Stay at The Reading Rooms - We'll be back!

We had the most fantastic stay at The Reading Rooms in this peaceful and picturesque spot in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. We enjoyed walks right from our doorstep and ventured out to The Wensleydale Creamery and Hardraw Force enjoying a superb pub lunch at The Green Dragon Inn.

The cottage itself felt like a real home from home - such a perfect place to unwind and relax! It is beautifully equipped with everything you could possibly need - we even managed to do some baking during our stay! We loved the TV/snug room which gave the children their own space to hang out.

The bedrooms were incredibly comfortable, with fresh high-quality linens. We all slept so well here! Outside the garden is simply lovely - it borders a charming beck and is a glorious peaceful space to sit. We were lucky with the weather so managed to enjoy some outdoor dining and we loved sitting outside with our morning coffee. It is clear that a lot of care has gone into making this a truly special place to stay and we can't wait to come back!

Multi generational family holiday

Now retired my husband and I booked Middlerigg in order that we could also invite our grownup children and granddaughter. We are originally from Northumberland and so knew Craster well. Middlerigg didn’t disappoint - with its outstanding position and comfortable, well equipped interior. That coupled with the evocative smell and relaxing sound of the sea - the local smoke house, the famous local crab sandwiches and the spectacular walk to Dunstanburgh Castle - well is it no surprise that a truly magical holiday was had by both young and old. Thank you. We will be back.

Thank you so very much for the most wonderful stay in your amazing home :).

I stayed with family and friends in October 25 to celebrate my 40th birthday. We had a mixture of ages with us and every single one of us adored all the house had to offer. The house itself is divine, being from a large family, we have stayed in quite a few similar homes but yours was by far the best in so many ways. The decor, the rooms, the space, the swimming pool, the kitchen, the sauna, the rooms throughout, just amazing. Cleanliness was also outstanding, as was location, to be in the middle of nowhere away from it all, so lovely and picturesque and Wi-Fi was good where we did need our phones.

Tara was so so lovely and accommodated so much of what we asked for - cant thank you enough that was a huge part of the overall experience.

We will 1million percent visit again and I hope soon.

Thanks so much

Laura and family xo

A home from home

Driftwood does not feel like a holiday cottage. It's more like a home way from home and has everything you could possibly need for your stay.

It's always welcoming on arrival and hard to leave. Everyone at catch the breeze is warm and professional and easy to deal with.

Catch the breeze is now my default choice when I want a break.

Harbourway is a beautifully situated holiday home in Craster . It is avery high spec home and everything is provided for a comfortable stay . There were 7 adults and a toddler and the spacious living areas meant everyone had plenty of time to relax and enjoy their holiday
