Mill Farmhouse is perfect for anyone wanting a touch of luxury in beautiful Northumberland
We were really looking forward to staying in this very new property and we were not disappointed. The house, the comfort, the quality of the furniture, the views.......!!. did not disappoint and the photos do not do it justice.
It's hard to explain how a property can be both spacious and cosy at the same time but Mill Farmhouse really is. With 3 separate lounge areas there is room for everyone to "do their own thing" yet still feel involved in all that is going on. The kitchen is fabulous for both cooking and socialising.
All bedrooms and en-suites are spacious and comfortable and no one feels they "got the short straw" everyone is different with unique features.
The circular staircase is quite steep and anyone with significant mobility problems may struggle and would need to take extra care. It's worth noting that the footpath to the beach is across a field, but once on the beach the walk to Beadnell is hard to beat on any day!
This is our fourth stay in Northumberland with Catch the Breeze and this is by far the best property so far - mainly owing to how spacious it is, but also because of the quality of furnishings CTB are known for.
Staff are all wonderful and a special mention to Claire, Guest Relations & Property Co-ordinator for her exceptional service.

Wonderful position with views over to castle and along coast, also very close to amenities in the village, children’s playground and harbour.

Family house together
Hired Rock lobster a few times now and one of there's other houses in Craster numerous times now. Always the best kept property's everything provided in kitchen and bedrooms heating and always plenty hot water. Spotlessly clean as usual. Easy toybook with and any extra can be provided. High chairs etc great views and well kept gardens.

This property is simply spectacular!
We had the most fabulous week of family reunion with family members coming from various parts of the world to celebrate a special birthday and for us all this was our first visit to Wales. The fabulous rooms were complemented by an equally fabulous set of surroundings in the form of extensive garden grounds equal to any stately home in the UK. Our dog was in heaven with the river being within a short walk away. The kitchen/dining room is equipped to fully professional standard and having a garden room/conservatory for us all to assemble in at the end of a busy day visiting local sites was really welcome. We were blessed with sufficiently good weather to be able to dine outside on several occasions including the use of an excellent barbecue on the property. As holiday property owners ourselves, "Tan Llan" more than exceeded anyone's expectations and passed our critical view with ease. We simply cannot recommend this property highly enough and would readily return when the occasion arises. It is beautifully situated for visits to the fabulous countryside and monuments and the beaches at Barmouth are exceptional. We really were impressed and thanks to "Tan Plan" our American visitors will certainly return home with unforgettably favourable memories of Wales, as will we.

A dream get away!
We stayed in the reading rooms for 1 week with our young children and when you arrive you are greeted by a clean house filled with a thoughtful welcome hamper and all the things required for a relaxing stay.
The house was totally spotless and fantastically furnished - we truly felt at home as soon as we walked in! There was an issue with the local water and Ben the house manager informed us straight away and provided bottles of water throughout the stay.
The location is very remote but this is what we wanted. However there is so much to explore all within a 30 minute drive so it’s really ideal. The immediate surroundings are simply stunning as is the garden and stream.
We really were blown away and our expectations were completely smashed by the cosy cottage we got to call home.
We are already planning on booking again next year.
Highly recommend to anyone wanting to experience and explore the Dales, you’ll only regret not booking for longer.
