What our guests say

Excellent as always

Third visit to this fabulous property in a fabulous location. Given the North Sea decided to blow a gale, the house is a really warm and comfortable retreat after being battered outside in winter. 5-stars as always and already wanting to return! Only negative (and I’m only joking and one which will be a blessing for some) is the cuckoo in the kitchen clock has stopped chirping every hour!

Winter recharge in Craster - Jan 2026

Our must have criteria was a comfortable cottage within walking distance of a local pub (Jolly Fisherman - recommended for a quick refresh and food), sea views and walks along the coast from our front door. A wood burn was a must as our side space was not a driver beyond off street parking due to the time of year we visited.

Craster Reach met all our criteria and customer service was great. When we needed to reach out for support, it was timely and supportive- thank you Clare and Tara.

We are already looking to return and are happy to recommend.

One item to note, if you are tall, the top floor bedroom/ensuite needs a little time to adjust. Showers are powerful and a pleasure.

The weather during our stay was a real mix and thankfully only one rainy day. Fresh frosty mornings, clear blue skies and crashing waves added to the morning leg stretch along the coastal paths.

Exceptional

We all had the best ever holiday at Mill Farmhouse . The property is in an ideal location with plenty of walks easily accessible from there . Everything you could wish for in terms of equipment is provided and it was beautifully clean and furnished to a very high standard . In one word blissful ! We can’t wait to visit again . Thank you

Stunning home in the heart of Craster

Wow what a beautiful property. One of the best we have stayed in a fantastic position in Craster. Stayed as a group of friends and the 4 en suite bedrooms served our set up perfectly. Maintained and presented to a very high standard we all decided we could absolutely live there. Bus stop outside. Gorgeous walks on the beach to dunstanburgh castle, low newton, Bamburgh and Boulder along the coastal path in the other direction. We would not hesitate to recommend. We booked again for next year on the day we came home and are trying out another of the properties in the catch the breeze group.
