What our guests say

High spec property delivers on space & views & facilities

Middlerigg lived up to our expectations. Very high spec property with lots of space in different areas - dining area, lounge & TV room on mezzanine, latter was a special delight. Views from the windows & the outside terrace were superb, great for people, boat and bird watching over the Craster harbour and looking towards Dunstanburgh Castle.

Facilities very good, range of kitchen equipment in the kitchen good. Cuckoo clock an amusing surprise! Downstairs toilet also useful. A top notch property, highly recommended.

Wonderful family get-together

Tan Llan is a wonderful place for a multi-generational family get together. From the newest addition, three month old baby George to Great Grandma Dawn - everyone felt cosseted and special for the week. The coach house was ideal for George and his parents who were able to do the things that babies like to do at 3am without disturbing the oldies in the main house - who definitely need all the sleep they can get. The gardens were a delight: we saw herons, kingfishers, woodpeckers and emperor dragonflies; some of us paddled in the river; all of us ate on the patio on the nights the weather allowed. The week flew by!

Dolphin watching!

Rock Lobster is a perfect place. It has everything you would wish to have in a holiday place. It is very comfortable, you can be preparing a meal and still chat with everyone. All the bedrooms and ensures are tastefully furnished.

The games room (garage) is great for the children.

To cap it off the views are amazing.

Amazing Cottage

We had a wonderful stay at the Reading Rooms this is our 3rd stay this year at a Catch the Breeze property.

They are all finished to an amazing standard.

We could not recommend them highly enough. We will be back very soon.

A luxury stay in a beautiful place

This was our first holiday since 2017 and we decided to treat ourselves to a really good holiday cottage. We chose Driftwood and were not disappointed!

Every comfort was provided for, the welcome package was exceptional, the decor was tasteful and we absolutely loved it. Having a good sized en suite meant that both we and our teenage daughter could have use of a nice bathroom.

The kitchen was really well-supplied with crockery, cutlery and utensils.

The sitting room was comfortable and the TV very new and all hooked up to the Wi-Fi.

The location is stunning with views down the hill to the sea. Craster itself is beautiful and only 15 minutes drive from Alnwick so you get the best of both worlds in terms of how you spend your time.

We had a brilliant week and would thoroughly recommend Driftwood to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.
